Sorry, forgot to post ! I have already looked but couldn't see him - but I do not have 1902-1913 for Victoria.
There is a death for a Francis Elliott, aged 60, reg Heidelberg, parents unknown, in 1915/13699
He is buried alone in Presb. section in Coburg cemetery (on the Fawkner web site) He is aged 59 on that record. A little older than yours.
But I did see one of the same name - Francis Oscar - in NSW and wondered if perhaps he was a son of your fellow.

That might be my Frank in VIC - as far as I know, he didn't marry & his remaining family were in Tassie or NSW.
I couldn't find a Francis Oscar Elliott in NSW, can you let me know when & were please,

I was in the South Australian State Library today and I found some information about joseph Elliott, son of William Elliott and Prudence Smithson.

William Elliott married Prudence Smithson 1st June 1830 in Lorton, Cumberland England.
BIRTH.
Prudence Smithson born 1st February 1823 and Christened 1st February 1823 in Lorton, Cumbertland England.
ARRIVAL FROM OVERSEAS
Joseph Elliott arrrived in South Australia in 1852.
MARRIAGE
William Elliott married Prudence Smithson 1st June 1830 in Lorton, Cumberland, England.

Thank you for all that wonderful info. I did find out some of that info as Prudence Smithson wasn't a very common name - unlike William ELLIOTT!!
1 thing - Annie Rebeckah - born to William & Prudence - Prudence actually died in 1854 at her fathers house in Collingwood, VIC. I believe William remarried - my OH's g/g/granny in 1856 Jane Osborne Scott nee Bell. (Otherwise she married the son William!) They had:
Francis Oscar 1860 in Deloraine, Tassie
Martha Jane 1865 Adelaide, SA
Jessie Eliza 1867 Adelaide - our line-
Esther Maude 1872 Encounter Bay, SA
Would Annie Rebeckah belong to this family, do you think?
I have mother Jane's death certificate from Tassie - but they don't list children unfortunately. Still looking for William's death - think he might be buried Noarlunga, SA in 1879. Martha was buried in Tassie in 1881 & her father had predeceased her.
If you can shed any more light on this situation, that would be great - I'm having terrible trouble with these Elliott's!!

Hi Christine,
Frank Oscar is an unusual name - might keep him in the file to see if he is related somewhere down the line!! Will be a bit hard to track him down yet as I guess he would be born 1920's to 30's. But you never know!
