I'm looking for William Leighton Eltringham born 1869 Crawcrook, Durham in the 1901 census. I believe he may have married either a Sarah or Susannah in 1895 in Newcastle. Any help greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

I have not found him on the 1901 census, as yet, but I can tell you that in 1895 JAS quarter William L Eltringham married Sarah Bell Hall, so if that was him, we can narrow the search to Sarah and eliminate Susannah.
The other possible bride and groom Susannah Catherine Rowan and Daniel Hatfield do appear together on the 1901 census and some even more conclusive proof that William married Sarah appears here
I think that this is him despite the birth place being stated as Throckley for all of them. I think that is just a mistake by the enumerator. It is, without doubt, the right Sarah and from earlier censuses we know that she was from Newburn.

ps I have added the "do" to Sarah Bell. It had been missed off and as a result she was transcribed as Sarah Bell (without the surname Eltringham) which, when combined with the wrong birthplace, made her quite difficult to find.
