Could some kind soul have a look for a marriage of Nancy Knight found  on Free BMD site at Barton (?) June 1863? Could not find spouse with a cross check but family source says the groom was a Mr Parrott a tailor. Nancy`s father was Benjamin Knight. Thanks.

   Hi Peggy.

  The marriage dated 1863 Barton June Quarter is for a marriage in Barton upon Irwell in Lancashire.

  The 2 grooms on that page are William Jolley
                                                     William Royle.

  Where in Bedfordshire did Nancy come from? Or where was she born?

Hi Tazzie, Thanks for the lookup re Nancy Knight mrg. I had to Google "Barton" and came up with Beds. obviously wrong. I think she was born in Hitchin Herts and I do know the Knights of Hitchin had a connection to Beds, so I thought I had found her, guess not. I suppose it`s possible she married in Bucks as well. I`ll just have to keep digging. Thanks again,

What exactly do you know about Nancy?

In 1851 there is a Nancy Knight age 4 born Hitchin  living in Hitchin with her father Thomas 46 widower, a carpenter also born Hitchin, and a brother Benjamin 18. Might this be the family? (The IGI has a Thomas Knight chr 1805 at Hitchin, son of Benjamin)

         Nancy Knight 1846 Jul Qt Hitchin.

The baptisms at Hitchin of both Nancy and her brother Benjamin are on the IGI, parents Thomas and Lucy
