can i find out if my john hole duffield owned land in devon

Hello all

Am I able to find out if my John Hole Duffield owned land in Devon in 1800's. He came to Australia in 1828 and settled in the Swan River Colony WA and it is said he named his property in WA after his land in Devon. He named it Bicton.
Is there a Bicton in Devon?
Hoping someone can throw some ideas my way I would be grateful for any ideas.

There is Bicton Park Botanical gardens  near Budleigh Salterton in Devon
