My son always thought the Xmas song was 'give us a kiss for christmas under me little toe'.He's 24 now and doesn't believe us
My nephew used to call the bloke in red who comes on Xmas eve Farmer Frimmus.
If anything went wrong my dad would say 'it's a cats-after-me'.
And my godson used to hate those big police al-sTation dogs.
My mum has always has arthur ritis. No one knows how painful it is . My hubby says Arthur Ritis has been my mums best friend for years.

My daughter was frustrated when we couldn't understand what a "sam" was. it took a while for us to realise she was trying to say "it's an ambulance". She is 24 now, a nurse and both she and the rest of the family still refer to ambulances as "sams"

I think Lewis Carroll had the ultimate in made up words. I just love this poem:
'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe; All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe.
"Beware the Jabberwock, my son! The jaws that bite, the claws that catch! Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun The frumious Bandersnatch!"
He took his vorpal sword in hand: Long time the manxome foe he sought-- So rested he by the Tumtum tree, And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood, The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame, Came whiffling through the tulgey wood, And burbled as it came!
One two! One two! And through and through The vorpal blade went snicker-snack! He left it dead, and with its head He went galumphing back.
"And hast thou slain the Jabberwock? Come to my arms, my beamish boy! O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!" He chortled in his joy.
'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe; All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe.

Jabberwocky, I love that one, I can recite potions of it because as a child I loved to made up words and learnt it.
D, did the spell-check go into meltdown with that post?
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack you can almost hear it. K.
