Frances Baylis sound's promising because on Ann's marriage certificate there is no father and Frances was a widower on the 1851 census. She could have been taking care of John while Ann was working for John Windsor  Wink
Oh and Ann was married in the parish of St Thomas at the Parish church.

Hi Nessie,

If you know for certain that Frances is Anns mother then I think Tanja has it right,  Grin it all fits and Islington is not very far from where John was born in Soho.

Hi Patrish & Tanja

Yes it all seems to fit. The only thing I can do is try and find Ann's birth record and send for the certificate, so I can find out Ann's mothers name.

Thankyou both for your help.
I will get back to you if I have any luck.  Cheesy
