born in Kempston and married a lady named caterine who was from gibraltar, their son was also born there, is there any possible way of finding out what he doing in gilbraltar in the first place?

Hi Marie,

Well i know that my gr grandfather was serving in the Scottish in army in Gilbralter in 1895....so there was troops there,  was he an army/ enlisted man ??

their son james was born abt1896.  i dont know when they married, i have been told that caterines last name was bayogue or something similar as we're not sure of the spelling. they were back in bedfordshire by 1901.

Have found James birth,  but it just says James George Belamy b 1896  in Gilbralter page 27

There is also,  Catalina BAYOQUI marrying James BELAMY in 1895 Gilbralter 1895 page 14

Was James birth also an army birth - you have to be specific which overseas register you are asking for - there are other registers. As with the marriage reference given you need details of the exact index.
