Hi Elaine
If you could yeah that be great
I was thinking if its not too much trouble, if you could post it in here, (the GALLACHER posting) and also create a new one and call it something like
Porterstown, Jordanstown, Torrenstown in Donegal - Does anyone know of these ?
or something like that
Thanks a lot,
Cheers, Warren

Looks like Porterstown but there no townland in Donegal with that name that I can find. There are 5 Porterstowns in Ireland in other counties. See www.seanruad.com to search for townlands in Ireland. Be sure to change default setting from exact match. I searched for townlands in Co. Donegal ending in 'town' with nothing coming close and then townlands in all Ireland ending in 'terstown.' Other possibility is that the place is Porterstown in Co. Donegal but that it's the local name for an ear rather than a townland name.
