The original is too damaged to get anything authentic from it, and it's also scanned at 72dpi, which makes it too small to work on
Is it possible to rescan just the photo (ie not the black background card) at 600 dpi?  Even so, you will still not get a good result, but a slight improvement might be possible

POSTEES: If possible, PLEASE, scan your images at 300 - 600 dpi, for both ease of restoration and best results
RESTORERS: Feel free to change/improve/colour any restorations posted by myself.  Acknowledgment would be appreciated.

I've just resized this and played with the curves - no repairs, etc.  It might be possible to do something but not very much.

Hi Oonagh. i've done a wee bit to it but, as the other say, not much can be done and a better scan would really improve things.

Hi oonagh.

Try scanning this after selecting only the image buy using the
lasso facility, then selct at least 300dpi, 600dpi would be even
better.

This is also resized but really not good enough to make much
improvement.
