Have you tried Slough Bucks. I am searching for Fenn's myself and I know a Walter Fenn was from that area. They emigrated to Canada, about the mid 1940/50. He may of been in Canadian Forces.
have had further info on this branch but don't seem able to verify it. Going backwarsds from maternal Grandmother - Winifred Henrietta Fenn b 27/07/1901 d. 1989, her parents were William Henry Fenn b. 1879 Brighton ( William was still in the navy until 1910) Matilda Louise Philbey b. 1874 Portsea (formerly Smith) no marriage found for these two. Matilda married again in Dec 1902.
Williams parents form his birth cert were Elizabeth Haywood and John Fenn, Elizabeth had a brother called Andrew who was living with her and her family.
I believe that John Fenns parents were Joseph b 1810 Fenn and Mary? Denham Wilts, and that Josephs parents were Ann Kedge and Joseph fenn m 1807 in Denham.
However this is supposition and I can't seem to find any proof anywhere. I have 1881, 1891 and 1901 census of John and Elizabeth and family living in Brighton with Ann and Joh both being born in Denham. The 1841 census for denham shows two Fenn households:
Joseph and Mary both 31 with Joseph 6, sarah 4 and Mary 16m; the other household is Ann Fenn (nee Kedge?)age 60 widow with John 20 and James 10.
Any help much apprecuated.

Been to the chatterbox and asked around... came up with :-) Joseph 1810 must of died before 1851 as the John he could of changed his name to, was his brother and wife died B4 1861. and... Joseph 1835 does not get married, he is with his sister Sarah in 1891 and husband William Allen. Joseph may have died 1891-1901. Mary remarried to William Sloane.
Chatterbox is the chat room for this site. Rootschat. If you go to the top of this page, under the date, you will see a box "chat". In there are the folks from this site. Can get quite busy, so keep trying...
