I am trying to find any information on my grandfather - Edward Dare Macey - who was born in Ireland (ca 1878 - 1882) and died in England (Surrey?) died ca 1935. He was going blind due to an inherited condition, and committed suicide. Cry

He was living in Reigate 1918 as a Hotel manager and/or Publican.

There must be some information on this death.

Please help if you can.

Zazie, have you tried to find the record of his death on 1837 online?  By ordering the certificate you will have some details.  Also if he commited suicide surely there would be a coroners report?  I remember inquests & coroners reports were discussed here on rootschat, do a search and see what comes up,
