Is anyone researching this gal.
KATHERINE S. DEERNESS
She seems to have been born c 1866 in the Orkney,Scotland.
In 1910 she shows up in Peebles ,Lauder,Scotland.
Is she in your family research?

This question is in a similar vein to your Inverness posting today. It is also too open - ended where people will be unsure as to what, and how much, you want to know.
Again I have no connection with this person but hope this is of some help -

Catherine Dearness (note spelling) born in 1864 in Birsay District of Orkney.
Copy of BC can be downloaded from scotlandspeople.gov.uk which is a pay per view site.
