Transcription and conventions used This index consists of 3,218 records of SMITH baptisms that took place in some parishes of Birmingham, Warwickshire.
The index includes the following fields – there may be more information in the original record:–
Date - date of baptism. Parish where the baptism took place. The page and entry number in the register. The date of the baptism, the date of birth or age where given. Name of the baptised, the father and the mother. The address The father's occupation Where there are surnames other than Smith, these are shown including different spellings of Smith. Coverage The following parishes are included in this database. The dates covered and the number of baptisms are also shown.
