Searching for John Kavanagh /Cavanagh in 1901 cant seem to find him anywhere .John was born Frizington 1873 his father was Peter Kavanagh/Cavanagh from Wexford Ireland .John died aged 58 on the 9th April 1931 but i don't know where can anyone help .Thanks DMD

Jno Cavanagh Head M 27 Iron Miner Ireland
Mary do Wife 27 Ireland
Peter do Son 5mo Cumb Arlecdon
27 Yeath Road, Arlecdon, Frizington
On the 1891 census John is an Iron Miner. Shame about the birth place.

Hi DS many thanks for your help i did come across this one but like you say shame the birth place is not right .It is strange i can trace him up to 1891 and then nothing .Thanks again DMD

The census's are known for being notorioulsy wrong when it comes to ages and place of birth, so keep everything in mind.

I will do thanks and you are so right .I have come across so much miss information something doesn't add up .The 1901 census shows the rest of his family .I did find one John Kavanagh last year born Frizington working at Shap but this John was born 1969 and my John born 1873 so i am not sure if it is him .many thanks DMD

Sorry i did mean 1869 i think the John at Shap must be him like you say only four years difference
