Hello,

I Need some help with this one, William Simpson was born in Barnsley abt 1827, according to the 1851-1871 Census, occupation was blacksmith, in 1841 he my have been a app Blacksmith ?,

Any help would  be very much appreciated,

The only one I can see that would fit:

1841 HO107/1325/2 fol.15 p.22  Union Row, Barnsley
Wm. Simpson  55 Linen Weaver
Mary       "       50
Geo.       "       18 Chimney Sweep
James    "       16      "
Wm.       "       10      "
Hannah    "      7
all born in county

ages not too accurate in 1841, but you need his marriage cert to find out his father's name and occupation to help you check:
2 possibles if you don't already have it -
Jun Qu 1848 Ecclesfield 22 133 (a Sarah Jones on same page)
Dec Qu 1848     "           22 148 (a Sarah Bell on same page)

If not sure of Sarah's maiden name then you need one of their children's birth certs to find that.
