Simon COOK is married to Letitia A COOK in Census 1871 (Ref: RG10/2243. Folio 40, Page 10) Letitia was born in Duloe, Cornwall c 1840. Is anyone able to confirm marriage date, please?

Well, there's a marriage on FreeBmd dec qtr 1854 Liskeard vol 5c pg 123 for Simon Cook, but only one other name transcribed so far. Do you have a birth certificate for any of the children to confirm mother's maiden name?

Hmm, I was wondering whether Letitia was Letitia Algar as she was the only one I could see born Duloe but she's still with her parents in 1861 and Simon is a widower. Looks like that marriage was his first one as his mother-in-law is also called Cook, so Frances, only other name on pg 123, must have been his wife.

I'd have suggested trying the online parish clerk, but St Martin's doesn't have one at the moment.

Many thanks for your replies, Osprey. Spot on - yes Simon COOK was married to Frances COOK 1854. Frances died 1859 of consumption. Yes - I shall need to order a child birth certificate to confirm Letitia's details. Thanks for your suggestions.
