Hi,
I am looking for information please about Elizabeth Rossiter baptised on February 14th 1827 at St Johns, Frome but born October 3rd 1814 to John Rossiter & Nancy ( maiden name unknown).
Any information would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

i see elizabeth was baptised same time as brother john john rossiter born 27th july 1818 bapt 14th feb 1827 frome st johns to parents james and nancy rossiter elizabeth rossiter born 3rd oct 1814 bapt 27th feb 1827 says family resident in keyford if that helps? regards alli

Hi alli,
Thanks for that. I have those dates but only used Elizabeth's for my query.
The Ann/ Nancy thing is interesting as Charles the father born circa 1798 had a sister Ann born circa 1791. He also has a brother John.
Interesting that she is "sister in law" in one census and "of independent means" in another.
John was already married to Lydia Baynton but that's not to say that he could have married twice.
Is the 1861 census any clearer please?
