Checked out Great Brickhill PR s today....

  only 3 baptisms  Elizabeth 1744 d John & Mary
                             Mary        1779 d John & Catherine
                             William     1771 s James & Ann.
The one marriage links us back to Potsgrove again...

     John Hanscomb of Potsgrove to Catherine Bonnick otp
          witnessed by Wm Hanscomb
                                Matthew Etheridge         1779.

           Will check the others later.

Any progress at all in checking out those two marriages, particularly the earlier one, which if you're lucky might give his parish of residence at the time of the marriage (which is not necessarily the same as his parish of birth)?

Even if Tazzie finds a suitable looking baptism you've still got to link it somehow to the James in St Albans

   In light of no other details I have found this one ....

Little Brickhill  1782  James Handscomb s/o John Handscomb & Sarah.....

They could be the John & Sarah who are in Potsgrove to Baptis Jos. in 1786.

  Again just a possible.

Has a post been added for details of the marriage?
