Is Ballachulish in Argyllshire? If not could you inform which shire it is in? If it is in Argyllshire, would anyone assist me in finding some information about the town?

A search in a search engine such as Google for (say) GENUKI + Ballachulish will lead you to the GENUKI Argyllshire page where you will see that Ballachulish & Corran of Ardgour was a parish in Argyllshire.
A general Google for Ballachulish gets many hits.
A search on Google Images for Ballachulish brings up some beautiful photos.

Ballachulish and Corran of Ardgour were two linked quoad sacra parishes within the parish of Kilmallie. The records (OPRs) for Ballachulish and Corran of Ardgour go back to 1830. That was probably the date of the raising of these quoad sacra parishes. Earlier records should be in the OPRs for Kilmallie.
Kilmallie parish was split across the county boundary, partly in Argyll and partly in Inverness-shire. It was indexed as Argyll until 1910, after which it is indexed as Inverness-shire.
The Ballachulish records should be found in the following parishes or registration districts.
520 - Kilmallie (1773-1830) 506 - Ballachulish & Corran of Ardgour (1830-1854) 520 - Kilmallie (1855) 525/3 - Glencoe & Ballachulish (1856-1969) [South Ballachulish] 506 - Ballachulish and Corran of Ardgour (1856-1910) [North Ballachulish] 091/c - Ballachulish and Onich (1911-1927) [North Ballachulish] 098/b2 - Ballachulish and Onich (1928-1969) [North Ballachulish] 506 - Ballachulish (1970-1971) 239 - Fort William (1972+)
