Needles in a Haystack 2: James Smith 1881
« on: Saturday 12 May 07 12:52 UTC (UK) »

Hi
I've found my great-grandfather James Smith [born around 1860 in Middridge Durham] in the 1861 Census at Middridge; in the 1871 census at Middridge; in the 1891 Census at East Hetton; and the 1901 Census at in Barton Yorkshire.
The question is where was he in 1881. Any ideas?
Doug
