I'm looking for James Stead, maybe in the Leeds area of Yorkshire. I know nothing about him other than that he was the father of James Stead Barker. He did not marry the mother Mary Ann but is named on the birth certificate of his son who was born in 1850 in Scarborough.

I think I've found James Stead Barker in the house of James Walton in Leeds, in 1851, as a nurse child.
Hence my guess that James Stead might be from Leeds!
