have now received new info re Love Hawker.  Her parents were Isaac Hawker and Sarah.  Could SKS look for them in Thorncombe Census.

Looked at an index for 1851 Thorncombe - there's 71 Hawkers!
Can you give more details regarding age?
Thought this might be the one!

1841. Thorncombe, Axminster, Devon. HO107/201. Book 12. Page: 7.
Sarah Hawker. 50. Ind. Born in county.
John Hawker. 20. Labourer. Born in county.

Then:

1851. Thorncombe. Axminster. Devon. Ho 107. Piece: 1862. Folio: 309. Page: 22. Schedule: 85. "Lower part of Fore Street"
John Hawker. Head. Mar. 32. Labourer. Somerset, Winsham.
Mealyen (?) Hawker. Wife. Mar. 34. Wife at Home. Devon, Kingsbridge.
Mary A. Hawker. Daur. 6. Scholar at Home. Dorset, Thorncombe.
Job Hawker. Son. 4. Dorset, Thorncombe.
Sarah Hawker. Daur. 2. Dorset, Thorncombe
Sarah Hawker. Mother. Disabled/Pauper. Dorset, Thorncombe.

Schedule 84 has a James aged 56, Wife Keziah aged 39 & 4 daughters aged between 10 & 2.

No sign of Isaac.

Hope this helps but if my guess is wrong - with more details I'll have another go.

sorry for being so vague - just trying to piece the jigsaw together.  I have no other info about Isaac and Sarah at this stage other than there is a possible record of his death on FBMD for 1842 Chard Reg. Dist. so he would only appear in 1841.  Some unclarified info received has a marriage of Isaac Hawker to Sarah Bragg Crediton 1802.  Crediton does seem a way from Chard/Thorncombe so this match could be coincidence of names.  Given that Love was born 1814 I'm guessing Isaac/Sarah were born late 1700s but of course at this stage have no idea where that's why I was hoping to pick them up in the census.
Thanks for trying though and I'll take a look at what you have sent to see if there are any clues there.
