Hmm. Sorry Arranroots for starting a new thread when Tricia had said it all  Roll Eyes

Not a problem - I don;t think it really resolved the issue.

Funny that some folk can keep lots of Pms without deleting and others can't.  Also that you could, but now you can't!!

And the problem with deleting and storing locally is that, if you want to reply to someone again a few weeks from now about the same topic, you can't quote.

I think I might go on strike. Threat or promise, I hear you say  Grin Grin Grin

Very strange!

When you say you can't view a Personal Message without deleting one first, what do you actually see when you can't see the message (it's a daft question I know!)

Does it have page numbers on the bottom of the screen?

Thanks for coming to our rescue Trystan.

I see the inbox just like it was before = everything minus the new message  Tongue

Let's say I'm on page 14 - well, there isn't a page 15 coming up where the new message could be hiding.

I have 252 messages and still receive any new ones without problems (sorry for hogging server space Trystan  Embarrassed ).  What I have found sometimes is that when a message goes over to the next page, you don't always see it (for some reason only the previous page appears).  A refresh usually does the trick.

Cheers,

Al

What I don't understand is that it was fine up to 99 then i had to start deleting to see the 100th.
I then did a real good purge and got my messages down to about 30. Gradually they've crept up and then I get to 59. When i get the 60th in I can't see it. And it's then not a new message - just says you have 60 messages, none are new, on page 4  Huh

I'm on 59 now again so ......

(Oh but Annie, Keith's is sooooooooo entertaining, as is he  Smiley  and
perhaps Crighton should share his messages around )

That was me just sent you a PM, did you get it!

I have 182 PMs stored and I don't have any problems.  Should I be deleting some?

That's when you follow the link from your notification e-mail, Annie, right?
It leads you to the send message thingy where, indeed!  Huh - you can see the text of the PM you have received. Weird!!

I just told Arranroots .....

it's like it gets frozen .... if I can't get the message by the inbox and it's set on the page - I read the box as typed .... then maybe tomorrow or the next day they suddenly appear on a page .... but by that time - the next page is full ........   so then we start over .... !!

It's been like that for ages - I just deal with it - I thought everybody did !!
