when ssome sweet kind person has the time......
I'm looking for any info on my great grandparents John & Agnes Isgate, who lived in Newmarket in the early 1900's.. On the 1891 census they lived in Exning, on 1901 census they were at Lowther Street, but after that I know nothing! My father always said that they lived on Icewell Hill [with a gas engine at the bottom of the garden!] I have no idea where they are buried, not in Newmarket cemetery, as I've already tried there. John died in 1927 in Newmarket, and Agnes died in 1940 in Newmarket. John is listed in 1906 as Head Stable Lad. I think also at sometime they lived in Phillips Road? or something like that.
I would love to find out anything about them, as my dad only had scant memories of his grandad, and I would dearly like to visit their final resting place [if they have one] I don't even know what they looked like
If anyone out there can shed any light on this, I will be soooooooo grateful
many blessings
