Can anybody please help me find a ROBERT BARNES who was born about 1805 in Isleworth, Middlesex. His wife's name was SARAH born about 1803. I believe ROBERT died in the Colney Hatch Lunatic Asylum but I do not know which year, I am hoping to find him on a census so I can narrow things down a little. Thanks

Thank you for your reply and looking for ROBERT for me.
Yes, they did have children, the ones that I know of are Thomas born 1830 Isleworth, Richard born 1833 Isleworth and Ann born 1840 in Marylebone. There was another son named Robert, born 1827 in Isleworth but I found him in 1851 living at Manning Street, Marylebone. Thanks again for your help.

Hi Alli,
I have only found them on the 1841 census so far, at the time they lived at Burns Place, Marylebone. I also have Sarah's death certificate, and she died in 1871 in the Workhouse in Norwood. On the certificate it says she was the widow of Robert, a porter, late of Colney Hatch Asylum. As for inbetween, I just can't find a thing, its been so frustrating, so I thank you for all your help.

The death cert. reads
Sarah Barnes age 68 died March 24th 1871 at Middlesex Lunatic Asylum, Norwood. She is the widow of a porter, late of Colney Hatch Asylum.
