Could I request a 1841 and 1851 lookup please for the following
Edward Montague Rogers, Grantham, Lincolshire (possibly Fifth St) born aprox 1824
married Annie Douglas 1851 Grantham, Lincolnshire (dob unknown)
Many thanks in advance for any help. Ol' Edward likes to play games with me!

He was a Master Ironmonger - presumably he had served his time as an apprentice (to his father), and now had apprentice(s) of his own - thus he was a Master.
Empg seems a reasonable abbreviation for "Employing".
6? relates to the number of men he employed - it could be 6 but I'm not altogether sure.
A Sylvester ROGERS was buried at Carlton Scroop (a few miles N of Grantham) 13 June 1848 aged 63.
Another person of the same name was buried there 7 April 1836 aged 79.
An Arabella ROGERS (wife of Silvester Jnr) was buried same place 17 Oct 1836 aged 47.
Elizabeth ROGERS (wife of Silv Snr) buried there 4 Jan 1845 aged 85.

It means that he had attained the rank of Master of his trade and that he was employing that many men or boys in his business.
I have had a look and can find both Edward and Louis but Catherine is a bit confusing.
I will do Edward first :-
The 1861 entry is a bit weird. The kids are there but not the parents. Have not found Edward and Annie yet.

Absolute wealth of info here for me to chew over. I think I will need some time to get all this together in my head. Definitely got the right family thru Douglas M (G Grandfather) Cecil (G Uncle) and Harold G (my Grandfather, who left England for Australia in aprox 1914 and never spoke about his family to anyone despite our occasional prompts)
Cecil was my starting block with his occupation in the 1851 census as "pensioner, Cape Govt" but I was at amiss getting back much farther than that.
