I haven't been able to find these people on the Ellis Island site.
BEARE, William John b. 1876, Penzance wife; Mary Eliz. b. Penzance 1874 hip; St. Paul Southampton to New York 1912.
I would like to know the nearest relative or friend for William John Beare.

I was hoping that someone may be able to find the immigration details so that I could find who is nearest friend or relative was.
I found the information about William on an internet site: West Penwith Resources: From Penzance to Akron, Ohio
Any information about the family will be useful.

Thank-you both for the information.
I will have to see if that family fit into my Beare family.

This William John Beare is married in 1912 according to the passenger list, though (there's two pages, you have to be careful with the Ellis Island site as it has a habit of showing you only the second one). His wife, Mrs Beare, is at home at 7 Edgecombe Place, West Hoe, Plymouth.
There's what looks like it might be the rest of the family arriving 1914 (not at all unusual for the husband to go first, secure a job and find a place to live, then send money back for the tickets for the rest of the family).
arrived Jun 4 1914, on the St. Paul Mary Beare, 38 years 9 months May, 14 yrs 5m Cyril,11y6m Albert,11y6m Gordon,9y8m Harry,5y4m Mary is a housewife, the children are all 'scholars', they all lived at Tavistock, relative at home is Mary's father, John W. ???field, 14 Cornwall Suran, Penzance. They're heading to Akron, OH, to Mary's husband/father of the children, W. J. Beare, 206 James St, Akron, Ohio. He also was the one who paid for their tickets. (physical descriptions are also given, also they were all b. Penzance. And according to the manifest, none of them could read/write although these answers were just dittoed down a long line).
