I have just discovered that a hand written copy of a marriage cert,gave the grooms father's name,incorrectly as Joseph,and I have spent years looking for him, obviouly without success !!The family I should have been looking for is  William Black bc 1795 m'd Margaret  Huh c 1821,Kildress Co Tyrone. Their children were Joseph 1822 (my greatgrandfather) who m'd Matty Craig,a widow nee Weir,in 1858 in Belfast. (Her father was Joseph Weir, and may have been from Co Tyrone originally too)
John 1823
Archibald 1830  who may have m'd Eleanor  Huh c 1852.
Robert 1833
Andrew  1839.
Trying to find Margaret's surname and where she m'd William Black. They were Presbyterians.All children were born in Kildress.Any help with this family will be appreciated. Agnetta.

Hello Agnetta,

You'll have to rely on Church records, if they're available,  when searching for the  family of William Black and Margaret as they were born before Civil Registration was introduced
in Ireland in 1864. Marriages of Non Catholic were registered from 1845 onwards.
