Did you have ancestors born on the Fort in New Brighton
« on: Monday 27 November 06 19:06 GMT (UK) »

I came across, a never seen it before, Baptism book Grin
Liscard Independent Chapel. In contains some Baptisms of the children born on the Fort.To Soldiers and their wives stationed there in 1845> there are a lot of soldiers of different ranks. Not all living on the fort, there are also baptisms for children born in Highfield Maternity Hospital, at home, some born in Birkenhead Hospital. Plus Marriages, not all of soldiers I haven't had good look at the book yet,but it seems  the Chapel was a Favorite place for the soldier families. So if anyone is interested i will get more information as to what it contains. Then make an index for quick reference.
