I am on a quest to find the origin of my 3x Gt Gfather, George Taylor b. around 1817.
If someone has access to Parish Records of Hilfield, I would be grateful if they could look for a George Taylor, Richard Taylor and Thomas Taylor between the years of 1810-1820.
This may not necessarily be their order of birth but I am led to believe their Father may also be named George. I have no information about the Mother.
The Richard Taylor had a son baptised George in Minterne in 1838 and Thomas a son baptised George in Minterne in 1839. Neither of the families were still in Minterne in the 1851 census but both gave their place of birth as Hilfield.
It's a very very long shot but the George I am seeking is in Guernsey C.I. in 1841 and I'm thinking that Minterne may be the last place he lived in Dorset rather than his Place of Birth.
If he is connected to these other two Taylors he may have been born in Hilfield also.
As I say a Long shot but I'll throw everything at a Brick Wall.
