Tried that and it made no difference  Sad

I think I might try deleting the navigation bar and redoing it and seeing if that makes a difference.  Course it might wreck the whole site Undecided

Poor Gadget  Cry  Have you had that whisky and lemon yet?

Well I did that, deleted the navigation bar and reinstalled and it made no difference at all.  Thankfully stills points to the right places.  Huh

I can't find the resolution for the bar images in properties but I have checked the sizes and they are the same size as those on other pages.  Mind you looking closely it seems to be the writing which is fuzzy rather than the images??

Now I'm puzzled  Huh

You seem to have a fuzz around the edges of all the text. How about re-writing them?

Hi Gadget

It looks fine on NOF but not page preview or the live site.  Really weird.  Perhaps some of the others might be able to help as you say.  I think we've been through the obvious.

Thanks for your help and look after that cold  Cheesy

Well I don't know how or why but I seem to have cured it.  I went for a little explore around the files in my User Sites folder and found in Preview a folder called Autogen.  This appears to have in it all the different generated buttons so I pointed my nav buttons to different ones within that folder and it has now worked.

They are now back to what they should look like.  It appears most are gifs but for some reason those low res ones are all jpgs??

Anyway its cured  Grin  It'll probably go wrong at some point because they pointed to the wrong ones but we'll see!!!!!

From memory (as Gadget has pointed out, I am AWOL on the other side of the world), all my menu buttons are gifs, not jpegs.  Can't understand how you got jpegs - or was that the way you made them
originally?

Hi Julian

Hope you are having a good time on the other side of the world  Grin

All mine seem to be gifs except those particular ones which are jpgs and I have no idea how they became jpgs because as far as I know I haven't actually done anything with them.  Certainly explains why they are such low res though. Roll Eyes

Hi Kerry

I still can't work out how you managed to get different formatting on the index page to the others, given NOFs way of doing things. I assume that you edited a Style Sheet and this would have been applied to all the pages  Undecided

Only thing that I can think of was that you might have edited the original gifs and saved them as jpgs but, even so, all of the pages would have altered.

Confused  Huh

Hi Gadget

That's what has confused me too, because I'm not aware of having even wanted to do anything with those buttons, even in my dreams  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I shall watch them carefully.  Shocked Shocked Shocked

As for editing a style sheet - only by mistake, I'm not even that sure how I would do that.
