Acclimatize - that's a good word
Not one I will ever associate with me and new software, technology etc though!
It's just that they seem to be giving 9 away free which was what they did with 8 just before they launched 10!

Mine did, Milly. I can't recall but I know the FTP and page design was much easier.

Thanks - I'll back everything up and then give it a go! I think there is a time limit to registering it so won't have to leave it too long

Hello All
New question that I hoped I wouldn't want to ask
I've got some new webspace and want to upload to this new domain. When I've uploaded to Rootschat I used the following:
Publish - NEW Server Type - FTP publish (Remote publish) Server - Rootschat.net Directory - blank Username - my Roots website username Password - my Roots website password
My new webspace has a Domain Name (name.co.uk) and an FTP account name and password and an overall account no and password (which has multiple domain names)
Query:
would I put - my Domain Name in for Server - my FTP account name for username or would it be my overall account no - my FTP account password for password or would it be my overall account no password
I could phone them but it costs I could experiment but I don't want to mess up my new webspace
Any ideas
Thanks

Hi Gadget
So you beat me to it
I've just had a look at OH website and domain name without www is in Server.
User name and password were given to me by netcetera and would imagine it is the FTP account name and the password. You can always put the details in and press the Test button to see if it connects without ruining your website.

Thanks, Kerry.
I've been doing some searching around and had come to the same conclusion. I'm going to make some minor changes and then put it up - maybe tomorrow or Thursday depending on the weather.

Now I've forgotten how to stop the counter from counting me
I've only got blocking cookies on my Scottish machines
It's on this board somewhere - I'll have to start searching!

I'm missing my fix of looking at others' fascinating FH websites. Am I weird or just a bit obsessive?
