Am looking for any information on the following family.

John Dutton b.ca.1777 Weston d.1837 Weston, shoemaker.
married Martha Kitchen b.ca.1770 Nantwich d. 1842 Weston.
in 1806 Nantwich.

Children: Samuel b. 1809 Weston, bapt 1809 Wybunbury d. 1882 Goldenhill Staff. ( census ages vary between 60 & 72), bricklayer/builder, married Frances Downing 1852 Wybunbury. daughter Hannah b. 1854 Goldenhill.

John b.1809 Weston bapt 1809 Wybunbury, Shoemaker, died after 1881 (widower from 1871) Weston, possibly married a Mary Walley in 1842.

No knowledge of any other children to John & Martha, nor to John who ever he married.

Any help appreciated.

Baptisms
On the Cheshire Parish Registers site there are a few Dutton baptisms from 1808(Elizabeth) with parents John and Martha.There are a couple of Marys-1810+1817 and Margarets -1816+1818.
The father John's occupation is a cordwainer then shoemaker later.

Marriages
John Dutton and Martha Kitchen in 1806.His occupation is a cordwainer-witnesses names are there too.
There are some marriages for Kitchen as well.
Samuel Kitchen(1802)has a Martha Kitchen as a witness-possibly related.
Mary Kitchen(1802)has a Samuel Kitchen as a witness.


I didn't select a parish-just the surname .
Perhaps you may see some others there.

Hi Neptune,

Thanks for the info. John was a cordwainer then shoemaker so seems to be on the right track.

That web site is a bit hard to follow with Weston not being on and no date.

I couldn't follow that site at first either. The dates are there-you put a 1 in front if the first number to give you the date.
The marriage of John Dutton and Martha Kitchen reads 8060515 on the site.
If you put a 1 in front it becomes 1806.(15/05/1806)

Select marriages. Input surname. Submit.
I think their marriage was on page 5. Click the circle then the square.

Same with baptisms
Start at page 13.Elizabeths baptism reads 8080515. Put a 1 in front and it becomes  1808(15/05/1808.) Click on the circle then the square for her details.

There are a few children with parents John Dutton and Martha.

There are also some entries on the IGI which may be of use to you.
