Hey Guys

Can some do a look up on the parish records for me please

Higgs family of Hertfordshire
Would like to find the children of George Higgs and Julia who married in 30/5/1887 in Redbourne, Herts and had the following children William born 12/1887 and Beatrice born 3/1889 Middlesex and Maud born 6/1892 and Mabel born 12/1894  in Middlesex and would like to know actual dates and if there are any more children or deaths or any info would be muchly appreciated

Hi Deb,
I confirmed from the Redbourn parish records that George Higgs. bach, s/o Joseph Higgs labourer and Julia Penny, spinster, d/o George Penny, labourer, both of Redbourn were married on 30th May 1887. Witnesses Walter Perkins and Harriett Higgs.
My search for baptisms at Redbourn was unsuccessful.

Hi Deb,
The 1901 census records the family at 13 Brook Road, Wood Green with the family members as quoted in your first posting.  More children seem most unlikely.    I will delve into the realms of the non-conformist church in the Redbourn area in search of baptisms on my next visit to HALS.

Census returns record George's place of birth as Caddington and his parents Joseph and Matilda.   The IGI records the marriage of Joseph Higgs and Matilda Bunyon on 25th December 1848 at Caddington, Bedfordshire.  Perhaps a posting for George's birth details on the Bedfordshire  board could open another can of worms.
