Topic: Replying to a Topic on Rootschat. (Read 493 times)

Perhaps someone might be able to tell me what I am doing wrong.
For some reason I have been unable to reply to a topic (which I created in the first place and prior to yesterday, have been to to post replies to)............but now I can view the new replies, but the reply button etc are missing from my link. I have tried other topics just to check if everything is working ok and the reply buttons etc are all ok.......it just seems to be on my topic link.
I am logged in correctly.....so what am I doing wrong please!.

I think the topic has been locked thats why you cannot reply, if so on the left hand side of the thread you should see a padlock symbol
You should be able to unlock it yourself unless it has been done by a Moderator

The topic doesn't appear to be locked.........it looks as though it's a hot topic because of the number of replies received - no lock just the red bars!
I've just tried again to access it and still no go! So no doubt it's something I'm not doing correctly!!!

It's due to the W-I-D-E posts made by yourself and Indaloman (ie the L-A-R-G-E death certificate images).
Such images cause the standard width messages to be expanded off the page. This results in difficulty reading of some replies, and, as in your query, the 'REPLY' buttons to disappear off the page.
You can reply if you scroll down to the last message, then drag the horizontal scroll-bar to expose the information that has gone off-screen.

I will have to learn how to scan images a bit better to scale than I have been.

That is something I have learnt also,  SS from the Rhondda
I could not find the thead referred to so did not acutually see it, and as I never ever post images that never occurred to me but thanks for the information, most helpful for the future .
