HELP,

NEED TO FIND JAMES FIELD B.C.1866 IN GOOLE, (WHICH  ACCORDING TO HIM WAS IN YORKSHIRE), AND EXPLAINS WHY I'VE HAD SO MUCH TROUBLE FINDING HIM.

CAN'T FIND HIS BIRTH ON THE 1837 INDEX.  HE'S MISSING FROM THE 1871 CENSUS,  HE'S A LODGER IN ELLAND-CUM-GREETLAND ON THE 1881 CENSUS, THEN MISSING AGAIN FROM THE 1891 CENSUS, AND FINALLY, HE APPEARS ON THE 1901 CENSUS WITH WIFE, JANE ANN BIRD & FAMILY, IN SALFORD, LANCASHIRE

Hello, yes he was right ,Goole was in yorkshire in 1866, the west riding of yorkshire. I live about 10 miles from goole, alot of my relatives were born there as they were boat people. What other proof have you got that he was born there, any certs with it on, ect. Did he go under any other name at all. I have had a look on free bdm but cannot find one for Goole, i know it drives you mad when you cannot find them, but keep looking, he will turn up.
