Can anyone help give more details of a Betsey, Betty (Elisabeth?) McKay (MacKay) my GgGrandmother who married Alexander Gordon.
Was she the Betsey Mackay born in Rogart on 30.12. 1807?
As far as dates are concerned she would have to have married at around 12 to be the mother of the family below.
They lived in Kingussie and Inch, he was a blacksmith and they had 5 children as far as I know:
Alexander Gordon was born on 11.11.1797
He and his Betsey married on 7.7.1819
Their children, all born in Kingussie and Inch, are as follows:
Elisabeth * (born) 7.01.1824
John * 21.12. 1827
Janet * 24.02.1830
Duncan * 10.05.1832 ( my Ggrandfather)
Ann * 17.11.1834
There's also a Mary * 12.01.1822 with parents Alexr. Gordon/Elspet McKay who might also be our Betsey - although she would then only have been 15.

Thanks for contacting. No, I've nothing more on Betsey. 
She's actually a Gordon through her marriage but perhaps already a widow in 1841 and using her maiden name??? I have been unable to find anything on them as a pair other than the 5 children registered.
Could you send me the places of birth of your Betseys please - also any other members of the households who might be related?

I think I've found Duncan on the 1841, possibly with brother John. Both already working:

No sign of their parents so far but I'll have another look

Nearest that I can get to Betsy on the 1841 is:
GROS Ref - Vol 102 Ed 9 Page 9
Main of Inch, Inch quod sacra, Kingussie and Inch
Betty Gordon 30-34, Farm Servant, not born County.
Maybe Joe might be able to find her on the 1851
