Hello all
I've posted a previous strand regarding my deeply-buried Bucks roots (see the 06/02/07 posting under "villages of Tingewick and Thornborough") but my investigations have lain dormant for the past few months. I'd like to resuscitate things now, though, so as a starting point has anyone out there carried out any research involving a family by the name of Church in the period pre-1800? I believe one of my ancestors to have been an Ann Church, who married a Joseph Ridgeway. Drawing a blank on the Ridgeways too, at the moment, as it happens.

Hi Jan
Thanks for that. I had located the marriage of Joseph Ridgeway and Anne Church in 1775 in the PRs, but didn't know about the other events. Looks like a likely candidate for her death in 1808, then. I suppose it is conceivable that Elizabeth was an aunt to Anne and John Church her nephew.
