Scott/Shearer family of Denny

James Scott married Jean Shearer in 1772 at Denny.  The IGI records 4 children of this couple:

James christened 28 Aug 1774 at Falkirk
Jean christened 09 Feb 1779 at Falkirk
Mary christened 29 Jul 1781 at Falkirk
Janet born 05 Jul 1790 at Falkirk

I am seeking any information about James Scott and Jean Shearer and would be grateful for any assistance with this.

This list is mainly for people searching in the County of Sutherland. Perhaps you might get more response by posting on a list nearer Denny or Falkirk.
