Hi, could someone find this family for me. In 1861 they lived at Mill stone street,Horncastle. However they may not have been in Horncastle in 1841.
Elisha CABORN- bc 1818-born Edlington-Saddler Sarah-wife-born c 1818-b Bardney John-son-bc 1842-b Horncastle Charles-son-bc 1845-b Horncastle- Fanny-daughter-bc 1848-b Horncastle George-son-b 1851-b Horncastle
I'm also very interested in anybody with the surname Caborn above the age of 30 who lives in Edlington in the 1841 census.
Many thanks Trisha

Hi Newfy, yes Elisha did marry again. He must have married a woman called Sarah(don't know the surname.I've only just found out about Elen she was a complete suprise) between 1842 and 45 when the next child Charles was born.Eleanor Caborn died in 1842.That brings me to another point .Which Ellen is it.?Ellen is often used as a shortened version of Eleanor and theres an Eleanor Brown as well as an Elen Brader on that list .Whats your feeling on this?I can't make my mind up. One other thing. Can you recheck Elizabeth Caborn on the 1841 census.Another persons answered me on this and given her age as 78 which would probably mean sh'es Elisha's mother and not daughter, which if true would be a very useful fact to know. Trisha

deffo 7 months - also see that Geoff has commented as such on your other thread.
and logic says that a 78 year old would have been a bit old to have Elisha 20+ years back ...
