I am trying to conect a a birth of Alexander Todd, born July 5, 1775 Saint Bees, Cumberland, England

I think from what I can find that his parents were John Todd & Eleanor Jameson. They were married Feb. 13, 1775 in Saint Bees, Cumberland, England.

I would be thankful if anyone has a way of checking if my information is correct.

The baptism for Alexander is on the IGI with father John Todd.

Doing a batch search for other children born at St Bees in the same period with father John I found:
Anthony Todd c. 4 Sep 1777 father John
Jane Todd c 18 Dec 1779 father John, mother Ellinor
John Todd c 24 Jan 1784 father John, mother Eleanor
Joseph Todd c. 26 Feb 1786 father John, mother Eleanor
Abby Todd c 8 Sep 1787 father John, mother Eleanor
William Todd c 14 Mar 1790 father John, mother Eleanor
Eleanor Todd c. 6 Jun 1793 father John, mother Eleanor
Ann Todd c. 9 Nov 1795 father John, mother Eleanor.

At far as St Bees is concerned these Todds are the only show in town.  I'd be putting them in my tree with this evidence!!

With the name Alexander coming up first it wouldn't surprise me if the trail led back to Scotland, as it would suggest that John's father was an Alexander, and I find that a lot more on my Scots branches than on my English.
