Hi,
I am looking for information please about the parents, siblings and possibly children of Ernest Robert Rossiter born 1879 in Euston.
I have two conflicting sources one giving his parents as Robert Rossiter & Jane Toomer & another giving them as Samuel Robert Rossiter and I think Agnes (maiden name unknown).
I can't find Ernest in the 1881 Census and can't find a marriage record for this Jane Toomer.
Any information would be greatly appreciated please.TIA.

Many thanks for that.
That clearly establishes a link between Jane Toomer & Ernest but Jane is not listed as a widow so where is her husband and who is he?
I tried FreeBMD for a marriage record but could not find one.It must be about 1877/1878 unless there are other children not known to us.

Hi yonderpeasant,
Checked FreeBMD looking for a marriage between a Toomer & a Rossiter and a Loomer & a Rossiter but no joy.
Don't understand where the husband has got to unless he disappeared just before the 1881 Census.
Are there any other Rossiters in Euston in 1881 /1891? Maybe they divorced or he died.
