I am looking for information please about any Rossiters living in Bridport and Sturminster Newton at the time of the 1841 & 1851 Censuses.

to confirm that marriage-
phillis rossiter married isaac pearcy 27th july 1843 sturminster newton dorset.brides father benjamin rossiter and grooms father isaac pearcy.
this is the only rossiter marriage showing on the BIVRI for sturminster newton

this would account for why i cant find father benjamin
benjamin rossiter aged 49yrs buried 3rd april 1826
there is also a burial for amelia rossiter aged 46yrs ( poss mother?) buried 4th may 1831 which might tie in with brother thomas's birth date?? could have died in childbirth??

Many thanks for that. It's amazing that once you start searching all the Rossiters come out of the woodwork. Hopefully, once I start looking at these I'll be able to link them up to some ancient ones I found on the IGI.
