Toberdoney or Tubberdoney?
« on: Tuesday 12 June 07 05:46 BST (UK) »

The Hudson's and Wynne's had a shared family estate in Tubberdoney (Toberdoney) and in the 1845 to 1850's gave up the property.  Could anyone tell me where Toberdoney is located within Ardee? Is there a map online that would show the location?  Thanks,  Marilyn

Hiya Marilyn,

There's an Ardee Online Community Forum. I've posted a message to the Forum suggesting that they start a Genealogy board. Currently the site contains a lot of items that are not really relevant to Ardee. It's a pity a great many local sites are limiting their boards to Entertainment, Films & Music and Sport & Leisure. They have an uncanny knack of failing to realise that there are many people scattered around the world with ancestors from that particular area.

Hi Marilyn,

The Ardee Online Community Forum now has a Genealogy and History board.
