Hi Alison.

I have on an Electoral Roll for 1894/5 in the parish of St Martin, a Charles Dowsett living at 3 Nunns Road Colchester, previous address Greens Yard St Peter (as 1891 census).
I checked the 1901 census for 3 Nunns Road but not living there.
If you want a copy of the Electoral Roll send me your email address by PM. I will check out Emily for you.

just recived a reply from colchester burial deptment and its given me the death and burial for emily ,   and also a burial for a Charles DOWSETT in 1919 aged 68 ..... now this could well be emilys husband but..... death index shows aged 69 burial says 68 and  my details have birth 1855 , looks like its either wait till 1911 census or  pay  out some pennies and order the 1919 death cert,
Thanks malcom for the 1894/5  information. i have a address for this family in 1896 they are living at 7 green yard North Hill St Nicholas Colchester (taken from son's army attension papers)
