James Dobbin-May 2002
« on: Wednesday 13 June 07 00:38 BST (UK) »

Hi,

I would appreciate any help with finding various articles or notices regarding my uncle's sad circumstances which led to his death.

I believe he died in Peterborough area in April/May 2002. I was told that he hit his head onto the kerb when felling. The details are a bit murky.

So, wondering a kind soul here would be kind enough to look up in the local papers to see if there is any mention regarding his death/the circumstances.

Kind regards,

Tees

Hi Ricky1,

Yes, that is him. What sad circumstances surrounding my uncle's death!

Thank you so much for the article as it cleared up the mystery on his death as it was hush-hush in my family.

How do I proceed to find more about the circumstances?

It seems I could not print the article out in large fonts.

Once again, thank you so much for finding this information so quickly! It is much appreciated!!

Kind regards,

Tees

Hi Ricky,

Thank you for finding further information on my uncle. It is awful that there is no true closure to his death for his family.

Wondering what happened to his inquest or John Crawford.

That explains why my uncle "died" in May 2002 as found on his registration on GRO Indexes when he actually died in March of the same year.

I truly appreciate your help with getting some articles on him.

With gratitude,

Tees

Hi Ricky,

Yes, it is a very sad case.

Do I understand correctly that John Crawford was let go? Or was he still charged with other charges?

Hope he was charged with something.

My heart goes to my cousins and their mum.

Your help is greatly appreciated as I finally understand why all of this was a hush-hush.

Regards,

Tees

Hi Tees

Thats all I could find about the case, it would seem he was let go. The only thing I can think of is to get in touch with coroner's court and see what they have about it all. Sorry I couldn't find anything else.

Hi Ricky!

That is perfectly allright.

At least, we have two articles on my uncle. I doubt I could get any details from the court or the inquest due to the legal restrictions.

Once again, I am very grateful for all of your help with finding the information for me. I am glad I am able to know what happened to my uncle.

Kind regards,

Tees
