can't find gt grandad

can some kind soul help me!!!!
i am looking for my gt grandad JOE BRISCO i think he was born abt 1890 in cumberland possibly sedbergh not quite sure i no he married a catherine . they had a son called JOHN in 1910 not sure of other siblings .

a family member keeps giving me loads of names but i am unsure on whose siblings they are .

did he have a middle name? that would help the search

You need to work back from John. Get his birth certificate: it will tell you his father's name and his mother's maiden name. From there, get the marriage cert between Joe and Kathrin to establish their fathers' names ....

sedbergh used to be in yorkshire so you might need to look in yorkshire records

i have find out joseph brisco(e) had 7 sons and a daugter called mary ... richard bill(william) he married a edith jimmy just a few not find out any more yet but aunt trying to find more out

i have found a joseph brisco on the 1861 census age 12.with a broth william...john and a sister mary.. but not too sure if its the right 1.........
