windley family from Woodford Essex

Hi,
Looking for any information about the following Windleys:
Zoe Ethel Windley ( born sept. 1889 Woodford, West Ham), John Rupert Windley (b. june 1891, Woodford, West Ham), Bessie Kathleen H. Windley (b. march 1894, Woodford, West Ham), Oscar John T. Windley (or Halls) (b. 1877 Woodford). I found them in the 1891 and 1901 census Woodford. No information about them after 1901. Marriage, children, death etc. Any information grately appreciated!

Hallo Missmarple: Have you looked these names up in the General Register Office indexes of births, marriages and deaths? These are accessible online at 1837.com, or at many local libraries on microfiche or in the registers at the Family Record Centre, Myddleton Street, London.

Hi,
since I live in the Netherlands it's impossible for me to go to any archives in England. I have to do all my research through the internet. I have looked at 1837online and I found a marriage of Bessie KH Windley in 1920 with George H Bolam in District Newcastle T. I think that she the Bessie I'm looking for. I know when the Windleys were born but I don't when (and if) they got married and when they died. To search in1837online is like looking for a needle in a haystack. They could have died aged 10, 50 or 80. Too many years to look through. I looked for a marriage of John R. Windley and found several marriages of John Windley between 1915 and 1925. Could be anyone of them or none at all. And I just covered 10 years. Anyway, will keep on trying.

Hallo again: I didn't have to be much of a Hercule Poirot to suspect that you were in Netherlands. Cheesy I looked at your profile before I posted my previous message but your location was not mentioned.
I realise how fortunate I am not to depend on 1837.com and can empathise with your difficulties.
I googled the name 'Windley' which gave at least one other researcher of your name. I also went to the website of Essex Record Office (google 'SEAX') and searched that site for the same name which produced some potentially useful info, especially given your area(s) of interest.
I'll see what else I can find

There are 1200+ WINDLEYs shown at http://www.worldconnect.rootsweb.com
Some are in USA and Oz etc but some are in UK including some living.
Perhaps you already know of these and you probably have to be cautious as to their accuracy

I think that only you can be the judge of that. All I can do is to be a bit more specific as to the websites
(a) www.seax.essexcc.go.uk is the website of Essex Record Office. You can search its catalogue by logging on as a guest.
(b) http:www.rootsweb.com is a freesite supported by ancestry.com. You can click on 'Family Trees' and then enter 'Windley' in the search box to find quite a lot of information about that name.
