Docking Family of Mildenhall
« on: Tuesday 07 December 04 20:59 GMT (UK) »

I am trying to find out whatever I can about the family of Charles Docking b1823 Mildenhall who married Mary (maiden name unknown) and they seem to have had 2 daughters, Emily b1858 (my great grandmother) and Mary Jane b1862.
Mary's maiden name would be useful as would any info on forbears or any other family
Thankyou
David (London)

Hi
I have them on the 1871 census, if you'd like to send me a personal message, I will forward you a copy of the pages.
Also to find Charles' wifes' maiden name if you get a copy of one of the kids birth certs it may give you that. I have found 2 birth refs for you.

Do you know of any links to Isleham in Cambs, just over the border and about 5 miles from Mildenhall? There is a Docking Lane in the village, named as were many other streets after a family that either owned land or property in the area. Just curious.

No - I haven't come across any connection in that area as yet.
