I am unable to find a GRO Index for the marriage of a Robert Hopes and a Ann Dowson  between 1840 - 1846, both were resident in Alston . They may have had a wedding in a nonconformist chapel in and around the Alston area. Can anyone help  Huh Robert

Irrespective of the venue - marriages still had to be registered from 1.7.1837
